In our second panel of Day 1, we heard from USSpecial Representative for Ukraine’s Economic Recovery, Penny Pritzker as wellas from Pierre Heilbronn, Special Envoy of the President of France forUkraine’s Relief and Reconstruction, moderated by Daniel F. Runde, Senior VP,Center for Strategic and International Studies.
Fresh from her meetings with President Zelensky inKyiv, Secretary Pritzker spoke, not just to the US but to the wider globalleadership saying, “We need to hold ourselves accountable - all of us asgovernments - to the commitments we have made to Ukraine. That means the USgovernment needs to live up to its commitments of having Ukraine’s back.”
Special Envoy Heilbronn reminded the audience ofthe colossal benefit of a free and victorious Ukraine, “The intrinsic assets ofUkraine are huge. But also, the potential, the dynamic which is there. I thinkwe don’t find this in many continents. This dynamism, this entrepreneurship inUkraine is really fundamental.”
